Brittney will be teaching sewing classes at SHCC this winter/spring starting January 12, 2013. Registration is January 3rd for South Holland Residents and January 4th and 5th is open for everyone. A list of supplies will be given at time of registration. The classes are as follows:


YOUTH SEWING
AGES: 8 to 17 years old
WHERE:  Community Center
WHEN: Session 1: Jan. 12 to Feb. 16

ADULT SEWING
AGES: 18 and Older

Youth (8 to 17): Hand Sewing, 4 sessions, 2hr classes

• Learn the basic essentials of sewing by hand. Your child will be able to do over hand stitching, sewing on buttons and trimmings. Projects made will include: hair accessories, hand designed t-shirts and cloth books. Material are  included for the classes.
• Cost: Min. 3 students and Max. 8 students at $40 per child. In order to secure lessons, $40 is due 7 days before classes start. The remaining amount is due on the first day of class.

Youth (8 to 17): Sewing Machine Basics, 8 sessions, 2hr classes

• Learn how to use a sewing machine. Your child will be able to operate and properly care for the sewing machine as well as learning to sew simple projects. Projects include aprons, pillows and bags. Materials are included for the classes.
• Cost: Min. 3 students and Max. 8 students at $80 per child. In order to secure lessons, $80 is due 7 days before classes start. The remaining amount is due on the first day of class.

Adults (18 & up): Sewing with your Machine, 8 sessions, 2hr classes

• Whether you're a beginner or a pro, you'll have fun making all types of things from your sewing machine. Projects include clothing, bags, and gifts. You'll need your own machine, machine needles, thread, and scissors. The cost of material is included.
• Cost: Min. 3 students and Max. 8 students at $96 per adult. In order to secure lessons, $96 is due 7 days before classes start. The remaining amount is due on the first day of class.

Payment

Form of payment is cash or through PayPal. NO personal checks.

Cancellation

If for some reason you need to cancel the sessions, please give a 48 hour notice. If the classes have not started yet and you paid your deposit, you will be refunded the money. If classes have started, you will be refunded for the classes not taken. (Each class is $10 for youth/$12 for adults)

Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule your class, please give a 24 hour notice. If you request a change of time after the 24 hour period, you will still be responsible for paying for the class and the new time change class.
